Project Makers

Make a project with us.

MakerSketch teaches CAD through things you can hold: a calibration cube, a case for a Raspberry Pi. We're looking for makers to turn more useful objects into short guided projects, and to test the app while we do.

Apply

Who it's for

People who make things and like showing how. Prints, cases, cyberdecks, crochet, desk gadgets: any craft counts.

New to CAD? That's fine. If you can explain how something is made, apply.

What you'd do

  • Pick an object you'd want to teach.
  • Design it in MakerSketch on your iPad.
  • Print it and check it works.
  • Work with Ben to write it up as steps and checks.
  • Tell us where the app gets in your way.

What you get

  • A fixed fee for each project we publish, agreed before you start.
  • Your name on the projects you make, in the app and on makersketch.com.
  • MakerSketch early, on TestFlight.
  • A direct line to the person building it.

    Apply

About five minutes. The pitch is the part that matters.

  2. 02

    We read every one

And reply to each, starting with the projects we can take on first.

  3. 03

    Agree terms

Then you get MakerSketch early on TestFlight.

  4. 04

    Make it together

Design it, print it, and shape the steps with Ben.

Questions

Before you apply

Do I need CAD experience?
No. Some of the best projects come from people who've just learned.
Do I need a printer?
You need an iPad on iPadOS 27. A printer, or access to one, lets you test the result.
Do I need followers?
No. Links help us see your work; audience size isn't a requirement.
Will every project be published?
No. We'll tell you early if one isn't a fit.
Is it paid?
Yes. A fixed fee for each project we publish, agreed with you before you start.
Who owns what I make?
You keep your design. To publish a project, we ask for a licence to include it in MakerSketch, agreed in writing before you start.
How old do I need to be?
18 or over.
